In case anyone's still in here, here's first chapter of my Halloween story:

Halloween 2023 - 1/32Disclamers: As can be told, I don't own anything of Legend of Zelda.Notions: So, as can be guessed, there's going to be 32 chapters in overall. Two Dark Links: So, Darky, the younger one, is my version of Dark Link. The older one, Dark, is by :iconcarrie-j: . Yet, they won't be much of other than a mention or memory until the last chapter. Other stuff: Sorry, first chapter's short. =/ Story's placed on Ocarina of Time's Hyrule and all that. Dunno if this would be part of my CaH saga.Anyways, let's start moth of Halloween by eerie feelings! -.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-Chapter 1: LostThe Hero of Hyrule was wandering around the forest. He felt unnerved of the area but more so confused. It was the very first time in his whole life that he couldn’t make sense of his way or of the area. Forests were his turf. He never was lost in such an area. And yet, now he couldn’t even point where he had come from let alone to know the compass points.Link sighed and stopped for a moment. He closed his eyes and let his instincts and senses take over. He frowned as he couldn’t hear the sounds of the forest. The birds, wind and small critters were all thoroughly absent. It all made him feel even more worried of the situation. The cerulean eyed Hylian opened his eyes and searched out the closest tree. Even that had never been something he had to do consciously. Bit fearfully he took off his left hand’s gauntlet and touched the bark of the tree. He gasped in shock and took a quick step backwards.Link couldn’t feel the bark of tree he could easily see. He couldn’t feel the life the greenery of the leaves told to be there. He only felt the solid surface of something but nothing of else. He gulped and quickly searched his pockets only to groan in irritation as he realized to have failed to take the Lens of Truth along. “Freaking great, you fool…” He grumbled before taking a deep breath and trying to calm down.“Well, while I’m at here I can just keep on going.” Link half muttered while hoping to get some sound into the area. “At least I know they’ll come after me once I’ve been gone long enough…” He hoped while referring to his two Half-Shadow brothers of Dark and Darky. After taking another deep breath, the Hero started to walk around again. He didn’t dare to touch the trees anymore since he didn’t want to feel the lack of life in them. Yet, as he moved forward, he started to think back to the morning.Link had a rare day off from everything. He had for a while entertained the idea of following his brothers to deal a problem that somehow had been caused by Shadows. Yet, he knew he wouldn’t be much of help in there. His brothers had far more ways to clear the situation no matter what it would’ve been. After all, the duo had actual Shadow Powers and abilities. The Hero had taken Epona along as he decided to go to check the less known areas of Hyrule. He had checked the boarders of the kingdom much less than he had the Temples. Now, with the given chance, he decided to explore the forest around Lake Hylia. Because of the more or less swamp like area of the start, he hadn’t really been much around there. Another area he less checked was the desert beyond the Gerudo Valley. It felt bit too dangerous and far too much of work to be worth the findings he could get from there. Besides, forests were his turf and hence more for him to take a check of.He had left Epona by a small farm which gladly looked after the mare. After that he entered the forest and kept mostly to the canopy of the trees. At least until the ground was solid enough for easier moving. He smiled while closing his eyes and listening to world around him. It was entirely alive and he felt at peace in there. While opening his eyes he randomly chose a road and started to walk.Link frowned as he couldn’t fully place the moment when things started to go wrong. He couldn’t entirely know when the forest’s sounds had ended. Even the feeling of dread had arrived so subtly that he wasn’t sure of when he first had acknowledged it. “I thought it was just monsters close by…” He half whispered before shaking his head to throw the thought out of his mind. “Just concentrate into getting out of here.” Link half barked out while taking far more determined composure. Yet, that was only to hide the uncertainty and fear the whole area was increasing within him. Something felt so thoroughly wrong in there and he couldn’t place it to figure it out.The Hero kept walking while his eyes scanned the area around him. He couldn’t hear thing at there. He could see the trees, bushes and rocks but nothing felt as it should. The further his feet took him, the more fearful he became. Dear Goddesses, how much he hated the area at the moment. The feeling could easily match that which he felt towards the Shadow Temple or even towards Ganondorf. He held back the growl and the need of taking his sword out.Link didn’t exactly feel threatened at the moment but at the same time he desperately wanted to draw a weapon. And still, he held himself from posing a threat to the surrounding area. Something within him warmed him to keep himself from catching any of notion. But on the other hand, the whole area was giving him the creeps and making him wait for anything and everything to jump at him at any given moment. Suddenly the swordsman nearly jumped out of his skin and stopped abruptly as the air was pierced by a ghostly laughter....

There's links to rest of the chapters at the end of the story. =)

I am, but I'm only a contributor, so I can't fix the permissions or see all submissions from members. Everyone else has gone inactive, the founder seems to visit dA everyone in awhile but she hasn't responded to my note to her discussing the state of this group. :/
Can you reply to me here with the links of the ones you've submitted?

Ah, I get it. That seems to be happening a lot, sadly. The admins of a few groups I'm part of just disappeared in the last few months without leaving anyone else in charge of their group, and contributors as far as I know, can't do it :(. Some even visit DA from time to time, so I don't get it....

I think this is the only one I submitted here, it's just that I resubmitted everytime it expired.
